The Alexander Technique for Health, Well-being & Posture

The Alexander Technique is an educational approach that helps you identify and change patterns of tension and coordination that limit ease, balance, and freedom in movement, posture, and daily activity.

Learning starts with awareness and ease in everyday actions—how you sit, stand, walk, and engage in the activities that matter to you. As your skills grow, you can apply them to more complex areas such as exercise, work, and communication. These skills support mobility, postural health, self-regulation, and confidence in how you move and function.

The Technique is not a therapy or a replacement for medical care. It is a learning process, where therapeutic benefits often emerge naturally from using yourself with greater ease and skill. It can also complement physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and psychological support—aligning with shared goals in health, recovery, and well-being.

Mark is certified in the Alexander Technique (Alexander Technique Canada) and holds a Master’s in Occupational Therapy (UBC). His teaching integrates current health and movement science with years of experience supporting people across a wide range of physical and functional challenges—improving how they move, feel, and function.
